New Beginnings

After 17 years in Kirkland, we're excited to be gathering the resources and funding to start a new work in Sammamish. For many years, I have enjoyed living in Kirkland but my work there is now finished and I am thrilled to begin a new work to help meet the musical and theater needs of the Sammamish community, which is rich in families and amazingly diverse.

This school year, I am in England, obtaining more training and a second Master's degree in Musical Theater Directing and Composing. I'm learning so much, considering that I've already directed over 50 shows including summer camps and school-age musicals for private schools in the Seattle area. It seems as if there is always something more to learn, new experiences to be had.

Although we've already begun offering piano lessons in homes in Sammamish, there is much work to be done this year. Scouting locations for possible venues for classes and performances, making connections with the City and supporting members of the community, designing classes for programming in Community Theater for kids, teens and adults, rebuilding my costume and props collection since they have stayed behind in Kirkland. So much to do! And all very exciting.
